Office Hours: Tuesdays 1 - 4:30PM
The
assessor is responsible for using state guidelines for determining the value of
property. Taxpayers will receive a Change Notice in the mail every spring detailing the
value of the property that will be taxed. Please review the form
to check the accuracy of your mailing and property address and status
of your Principal Residence Exemption. The notice also includes
the change in assessed value and taxable value from the prior year as
well as transfer information. If you have a dispute concerning the information on your notice you may contact the assessor to informally resolve the issue prior to the March Board of Review.
If you wish to speak with the assessor, she is in the office
on Tuesdays from 1-4:30 pm. You can also email your questions to overiselassessor@gmail.com or call
269-751-7030. Email and phone messages will be responded to within 7 business days. Copies of your assessment record may be requested by calling the township office or emailing the assessor.
